Who we are
Brantley Fusion Systems is a trailblazer in structural engineering, finite element analysis (FEA), and engineering management consulting, committed to advancing the nuclear fusion industry through an engineering first principles approach. Fueled by a passion for energy innovation, our team delivers robust, sustainable solutions for next-generation nuclear projects across the U.S. and beyond.
Our principal engineer, an FEA subject matter expert, has shaped fusion’s future with leadership on pioneering projects like Tri Alpha Energy’s Copernicus Plant—establishing design bases, analyzing core structures, and engineering reactor support systems—and Zap Energy’s test reactors, designing vessels and cores using advanced nonlinear structural, thermal, and seismic modeling grounded in first principles. This fusion expertise builds on a formidable fission legacy, including rapid-response NEI 12-06 post-Fukushima hardened structures for plants like Prairie Island and Turkey Point, where we developed complete design packages for superstructures, foundations, and ballistic doors. Our broader fission portfolio—spanning Watts Bar II, Crystal River III, Westinghouse AP1000, NuScale SMR, and more—further demonstrates our technical prowess.
Our services encompass engineering design, review, verification, design basis development, project management, field support, regulatory guidance, and execution—providing tailored, on-demand expertise to accelerate fusion breakthroughs. Partner with Brantley Fusion Systems to harness our fusion-centric expertise and first principles ingenuity for your nuclear fusion success.
